As a homeowner and long-time resident, I am running for re-election to continue to represent our Santa Ana community and fight for all residents. As an attorney who works with local governments and your Mayor Pro Tem, I have the experience and expertise to make the tough calls that will improve our City and keep our neighborhoods safe.
In my first term:
I championed rent stabilization to help renters and mobilehome park residents stay in their homes, voted to increase funding to the Down Payment Assistance Program so more Santa Ana residents can achieve the American Dream, and supported housing affordability by promoting sensible new developments.
I voted to enhance public safety by increasing incentives to hire more officers and lower response times, implementing the Police Oversight Commission, approving citations for street racing spectators, and expanding our code enforcement team.
I supported programs to address homelessness but demanded accountability from those who refuse services and shelter, and opposed the needle exchange program because it only serves to harm families.
I advocated for lower taxes for small businesses and fought for economic growth and new jobs by attracting investors and businesses to Santa Ana.
But our work isn’t done.
I will keep championing programs, services, and investments in Ward 1 and will focus on the issues affecting our everyday quality of life.
